Sheri Y. Shipley

She was born November 19, 1956 in Independence, Missouri to Marlin and Grace Root.

Sheri married Gary Shipley in 1986 and the couple had three children, Tom, Dustin and Christen. Her passion was her family, she was a devoted mother and housewife to her family. She enjoyed spending the warm summer months with her family and friends down at Truman Lake in Warsaw, Missouri creating life long memories. Her love of others ran deep and all who met her affectionately called her "Mom". A lifelong hairstylist, Sheri graduated from beauty school and opened her own salon.

Sheri is survived by her husband Gary Shipley; children Tom (Patty) Shipley, Dustin Shipley and Christen Marchan and family; grandkids Payton Mings, Rahiem Cooper, Carrigan Mings, Sabastian Campbell, Brooke Vetter, Riley Shipley, and Teagan Shipley; great granddaughters Lydia Campbell and Octavia Cooper; and many family and friends.

A visitation for Sheri will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119.
