Robin was born at the once St. Mary’s Hospital, located next to the Liberty Memorial on June 12, 1952, to Barbara and Robert Hale of Kansas City North. Robin passed away, what appeared suddenly after a brief hospital stay.
She is survived by her sister, Christi Cassidy of Biloxi, Mississippi; one brother, Jeff Hale of Kansas City; five sisters-in-law, Bea, Elly, Laura, Barb and Shirley. Other family members include Goddaughter, Brandy Terrill (Jeff); step-daughter, Denice Kolasa (John); three nieces, Briana Polichnia (Nathan), Lesley Hale, and Thieresa Hale; and one nephew, Jeff Talley (Bethany); five great nieces and one great nephew, and cousins galore.
She grew up in the Northland, graduating from North Kansas City High School, where while studying shorthand. Robin would take notes of the Sunday sermon on shorthand and Mom then would proof and correct them. This is the lost art of today. Robin attended Penn Valley Community College studying office skills specializing in accounting. She was a wizard on the 10-key, also not used in the office setting today.
She married her long time love, John Smith, on May 10, 2005. Throughout their marriage, they enjoyed traveling and camping until his death in 2015.
Robin was known for her humor, quick wit, and yes, there was sarcasm. She made friends easily and maintained them for a lifetime.
Robin, we all will miss you deeply.
