Robert "Dave" David Bollinger, age 80, died unexpectedly on May 17, 2022. Dave was born on November 28, 1941 in Cameron, Missouri to Robert L. Bollinger and Louella Pitts Bollinger. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1959.
Dave married his high school sweetheart, Evalyn McQuerrey, in 1961. They welcomed two children, a daughter, Elizabeth Anne and son, David Scott. The children remember their dad as a kind, gentle, and loving father. Dave loved to be with his children to teach, have fun, and enjoy them.
He joined the United States Navy in 1962 and served in Cuba. When returning from active duty, he worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company as a draftsman and then for Pritchard Corporation as a piping designer. He later worked for Black and Veatch in Houston. Dave was a skilled and dedicated person who loved designing. He moved back to Kansas City after retirement. He was an active member of Gashland Baptist Church.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Evalyn; daughter, Beth Duran (David); son David Scott (Connie); sister, Sarah Bollinger Enloe (Don); and brother-in-law, Kenneth Lee McQuerrey (Holly). He also leaves behind five grandchildren [Sarah (Tony), Christopher, Miles, Brent (Joni) and Brandon (Hannah)]; six great grandchildren (Kylee, Brayden, Wyatt, Scarlett, Elsie, and Rohen); four nephews [Kelly, Guy, Charles (Michelle), and Kenny (Julie)] and one niece [Stephanie (Jason)].

A funeral service for Dave will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2 pm at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, Missouri.
