Richard was born in Kansas City, MO the son of Eugene and Helen (Lohmeyer) Vaughan. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, taking trips on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and cruising in his corvette. He retired from Vaughan Mechanical Inc. after 31 successful years of ownership.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl J. Vaughan; sons, Richard M. Vaughan (Kourtney) and Thomas E. Vaughan (Robyn); daughter, Kathleen S. Kinsella (AJ); grandchildren, Eila Jean (9), Jane Rowan (6), Jillian Phipps (5), Everett Thomas (4) and Cameron Terence (1); and brother, Donald E. Vaughan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 17, 2022 at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project.
