Patti was born on July 9, 1942, to Jack and Virginia Keiser. She had two sisters, Mary Short (Tom) and Bobbi Hawkins (Brad), whom she cherished. Patti was raised in a Christian home, and at an early age, she accepted Christ into her heart. She witnessed her faith to everyone she met and His light shined through her. If you knew Patti, you knew she loved Jesus and wanted to share that love with others.
Family was a significant cornerstone in Patti's life. She was a loving partner to her husband, David Newby, from 1974 until his passing in 2012. Patti had two dearly loved daughters: Georgeanna White (Jon) and Michelle Rhea (Carl). She also adored and loved Rosalie Hamilton, whom she often referred to as her third daughter. Later in life, Patti found infinite joy in her role as Nanny Pat to her grandson: Derek Rhea (Jason).
Patti had an artistic flair and a love for all things bright and beautiful. She found joy in the creative process, whether decorating a space, coloring a picture or combining threads to embroider a unique piece of wall art. She had a soft spot for jigsaw puzzles, old westerns, Russell Stovers chocolate creams, peanut M&M's, her many dogs she rescued over the years, and a good game of pinochle with friends.
Patti's legacy will forever be imprinted on the hearts and minds of those she touched. Her happy disposition, sweet smile, sense of humor, and unconditional love for her family will be remembered and cherished. As we honor Patti's life, we carry forward her spirit of happiness and belief in the power of God.
Rest in peace, dear Patti. Your light continues to shine brightly, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing you.
