Patrick Allen Hammond

Patrick was born on May 8, 1956, to Betty Jean Ringo and James Allen Hammond in Albuquerque New Mexico.

A self-employed business owner for most of his career, Patrick was a skilled craftsman and tradesman. Crafting custom cabinetry, artisan tile designs, and performing general contracting, he worked in California for many years and continued these pursuits in Missouri until his retirement in 2018.

He welcomed his first son Travis Ryan Hammond in 1977 and In February 1983 he wed Belinda Lou Carey of Michigan and merged into a family a 4 including, then 8-year-old Candice Renee Miller as his daughter. A son was born to Patrick and Belinda in 1986, Tyler James Hammond, and completed their family.

Go kart racing was a lifelong passion that brought many awards, trophies and record settings. Most weekends you could find Patrick and his son Travis at the track racing together. During his life Patrick built numerous karts for himself, his children, and his many friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael Hammond and David Hammond.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Belinda; children, Travis (Denise) Hammond, Candice (David) McFather, and Tyler (Samantha) Hammond; sister, Robyn (John) Bousum; and 6 grandchildren.
