Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of Al and Geraldine Ferguson. Mike graduated from North Kansas City High School and worked as a driver for HPH Transport.
Mike was an avid, life-long bowler with 39 “300” games and several “800” series. On April 12, 1990, he bowled a record 878 series, and held that record for several years. He was also inducted into the Missouri Bowling Hall of Fame.
Mike enjoyed traveling with his wife Kathy. He also loved spending time with family and friends – often hosting backyard cookouts at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; sister, Laura Donaldson (Craig); children, Mike Ferguson, Jr. (Jennifer), Ken Ferguson (Stephanie), Adrienne Brown (Chris), and Lindsey Boydston (Chris); 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Aaron Ferguson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 4 – 6 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home (6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119).
