He was born February 20, 1938 in Brunswick, MO the son of Jerald Frances Veatch and Mary Jane (Porterfield) Veatch. He married his high school sweetheart Judy (Newsom) Veatch in July 1959. Jerry was an electrical engineer who was employed by and later owned Kansas City Electrical Construction Company. After retirement he spent 12 years at the Lake of the Ozarks. Jerry loved to trap shoot, fish and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his three children Lynn Crader (Greg) of Edgerton, MO, Kim Stevens (Ed) of Parkville, MO and Jeff Veatch of Smithville, MO, and three grandchildren, Morgan Crader, Zack Stevens and Cole Stevens. Jerry was preceded in death by his spouse Judy Veatch, his parents, his stepfather (Herbert Sewell), and his sister and brother-in-law (Jeanette and Norris Wayne Oldvader).
Service Tuesday, November 23, White Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation at 10 am, service at 11 am with graveside immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Boy Scouts of America Heart of America Council or Parkinson’s Foundation.
