Janice was born January 21, 1941 to Ward M. and Nina M. (Gore) Douglas. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1959.
Janice was a very loving wife and caring mother. She was a seamstress, making clothes for her family and even skating costumes for her granddaughter as well as a wedding dress for her son’s bride.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren especially on birthdays and holidays, interior design was a passion for her creating a Better Homes and Gardens look in many of her homes.
Janice worked for Charles F. Curry Mortgage Co. as an escrow administrator,
Med 4 Home, and retired from Steven Fuller Law Firm.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, George Palaska, III and her parents.
Survivors include her son, Chris (Danielle) Palaska; her daughter, Tracy Palaska; her brother, Neil (Tricia) Douglas; brother-in-law, Ted Palaska; sister-in-law, Betty Diven; grandchildren, Michael (Alissa) Palaska and Nichole Palaska; great grandchildren, Alexis and Jaxson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
