Mona is survived by her husband William (Billie) Christie of 56 years, daughters Wilma (Roger) Broussard and Bonnie (Reggie) Myette, grandson Paul (Cindy) Shupe, great grandson Sean William, grandson Brenn (Shalyn) Myette, great granddaughter Ryleigh and grandsons Adam (Janelle) Broussard and Evan (Kenedie) Broussard, sisters Anna Davidson, Linda Cann, Marlene MacIsaac and Wilma Bottomley as well as brothers Herman, Norbert and Clayton.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Tina Fraser, Doris Anstey, brothers Harold, Seward, Leonard and Raymond as well as son-in-law Sean Shupe.
Mona was a hard, hard worker, she worked at many places in Antigonish, including the Brigadoon, Wongs,The 5 – 1 and her last job at The Deli were just a few, she lived in various places across the country including Toronto, Montreal, Hamilton, Calgary and the village of Heatherton before settling in Glace Bay. Mom was devoted to her family and we will miss her forever.
A visitation will be held at Patten Funeral Home on Friday, July 29 from 2 until 4pm with a celebration of her life taking place in Patten’s Chapel at 4pm with a reception to follow.
