Mary Christine Parsons

It is with heartfelt sadness, we the family announce the passing of Mary Christine Parsons of Glace Bay, N.S., age 66, beloved wife, grandmother,mother, friend,sister and aunt. Mary passed away on October 14, 2011 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Mary will be remembered for the kindness she showed to all.

Born in Glace Bay, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph McNeil and Sadie (Sarah) Royal.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Henry Parsons, daughter Darlene(Ron) Schruder of Glace Bay, her sons, Joey Parsons of Glace Bay and Darren (Misty) Parsons of B.C., grandchildren, Corey and Sarah Schruder of Glace Bay and Emma and Chloe Parsons of B.C. Mary will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved and cherished her grandchildren like they were her own and who lived a quiet life and will be dearly missed. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Glace Bay.

Mary is also survived by her siblings Joan, Mike, Janette, Gerry, Ronnie, and Joey and many nieceds and nephews.

Besides her parents Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Danny, Eric, and sisters Evelyn and Phyllis. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19 at Patten Funeral home, Glace Bay from1-3 with funeral service to follow at 3pm
