on November 15th, 2024, at the age of 85. Beulah was predeceased by her husband, Edward
“Ned” King; her parents, Jesse Walker and Stanley Locke; her sisters Martha, Lovelette, Margie,
Doris, and Deb; and her brothers John, Les, Sonny, Art, Bud, Jack, Len, and Sam.
She leaves behind her three loving children, Belinda O’Leary (Brian), Carolyn Positano (Gino),
and Glen King (Judy), as well as her six grandchildren: Ryan, Alicia, Kat, Tyler, Abigail, and
Rebecca. Beulah is also survived by her brother Thomas Locke, sisters Gloria Kucherawy and
Lucy Degout, and many extended family members.
Beulah dedicated many years to working at Glace Bay General Hospital and took great joy in
caring for the elderly in their homes. She will be remembered for her love of travelling, bowling,
playing cards with friends and family and showing kindness to all who knew her.
Visitation will take place on, Thursday November 28th, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Patten Funeral
Home, 71 Union Street, Glace Bay, NS. A Celebration of Life will follow on November 29th,
2024, at 11am in the Salvation Army, Union Street, Glace Bay. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made in Beulah’s memory to the Salvation Army.
