Marjorie Nell (Peterson) Reynolds, Age 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at El Dorado Manor in Trenton NE.
Celebration of Life will be held at Gering Memorial Chapel 1755 11th St in Gering Nebraska on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be at Gering Memorial Chapel on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 5-7 pm. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill, Nebraska following the service. A memorial has been established memorial has been established to Alethia International Ministries established by the late founders, Stuart and Marilyn Cook missionaries serving south Africa.
Marjorie Nell was born October 9, 1929 in Wray Colorado to George Robert and Bertha Jane (Long) Peterson. She graduated from Lyman High School, Marjorie worked at First National Bank in Morrill, NE as a teller, worked several positions at the newspaper in Julesburg, CO, and The Ohio Pipe Company in Findlay Ohio as a secretary. Both Marjorie and Jane were active members of the Daughters of Revolutionary War Society.
LeRoy Charles and Marjorie Nell (Peterson) Reynolds were married January 18, 1953 at Central Church of Christ in Gering, NE officiated by Stuart Cook. They lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Ohio, and then retired in Gering, Nebraska.
She was baptized in Christ at the Lyman Church of Christ. Marjorie was a kind, supportive, and loving mother.
Mom was a member of church choirs, special church events; but, enjoyed being at home with her kids and husband. Both Marjorie and Roy sacrificially but gladly gave on many fronts so that their children could attend church youth group activities, church camps, youth retreats, and revivals. Roy and Marj cherished and treasured their time with their grandchildren.
Survivors include: Son Mark (Zan-Wife) Reynolds of Winter Springs FL, Son Matt (Yvonne – wife) Reynolds of Gering, their children: Jeremy Reynolds of Scottsbluff, NE, Josh (Ashlynn-wife) and their children Julie and Emma of Scottsbluff, NE, Bethany (Reynolds Zaczek (Nick-Husband) their children: Boston, Ava Jane, and Madilyn of Cheyenne, WY. Son Scott Reynolds of McCook, NE. Daughter Jane Marie (Reynolds) Geilenkirchen (Evan-Husband) living in McCook, NE and their sons Erik Geilenkirchen of York, NE and Jacob Geilenkirchen Active US Army Sgt stationed in Germany.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Bertha Peterson and Husband LeRoy Reynolds.
