Rosalie Stancil

Rose enjoyed her work for several attorneys, the Missouri Court of Appeals, the Logistics Agency of the US Department of Defense, and the US Small Business Administration, from which she retired.

She and her husband of 44 years, Herman K. Stancil, moved to Sun City, Texas in 2010. They had previously lived in Hemphill, Texas; Matthews, North Carolina; Marshville, North Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina.

Rosalie is pre-deceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Herman K. Stancil; siblings Joanne Schmidt, Norman Henson, Glenn Henson, Geraldine Henson; niece, Michelle Freel; stepchildren Rena Gehman, Paul Stancil, Tom Thies, Suzy Meyer, Nan Alaiz, and numerous great-grandchildren and other family members.

A visitation for Rosalie will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. A catered meal will follow until 2:00 PM. Rosalie will be laid to rest at 3:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, Texas 76542, but there will be no graveside service due to cemetery policy.
