Ora Lee Staton Donnell, 84, of Baytown, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Baytown Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Baytown. She was looking forward to the day she would suffer no more pain; now that time has come to pass.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012, in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with burial following at Berry’s Creek Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
Ora Lee was born January 21, 1928 in Liberty Hill, Texas, to parents Sam and Ruth Jackson Staton, a former resident of Elgin, Texas, and has resided in Baytown, Texas for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, playing cards, and cooking her German chocolate cake and banana nut bread.
Mrs. Donnell was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Emory “Hock” Donnell, son: Jimmy Andrew Donnell, sisters: Ailene Menly, Ruby Davis, and Willie Sedberry, and brothers: Jake, Aire, Dee, Floyd, and Mark Staton.
She is survived by her sons: Greg Donnell and wife Carol of Baytown, Texas and Randy Donnell and wife Rose of Crosby,Texas, daughter: Carolyn Donnell of Baytown, Texas, sister: Velma Parks of Austin, Texas, brother: Bob Staton of Austin, Texas, special grandson: Fred Cornelius, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to thank Kindred Care Hospital, Dr. Hays, and Baytown Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for the love and care provided to Ora Lee.
