Minnie Angebelle Linebarger was born on May 1, 1920. She passed away at the age of 96 on April 7, 2017. Minnie Angebelle’s parents were Luther Jerome Linebarger and Minnie Belle Linebarger. Angebelle grew up on a farm near Leander, Texas. She had one sister, Kate, and four brothers, Adrian, JT, Emmit, and Pat.
After she married Rev. Wilson Carwile, she took some classes at Howard Payne College. She has a degree from the Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She has been a Christian since childhood and a member of quite a number of churches. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in recent years.
Minnie Angebelle’s children, Flora Richey and Colleen Watley; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews all who brought so much joy to her life.
Several years ago, Angebelle completed her 219 page book that she had been making notes for, over many years. The name of her book is When We Were “The Kids”.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation with a reception from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the Southwestern Room at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Interment will be private at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, Texas.
