Lester Lee Hill, Sr.

Lester Sr. was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He continued to be in good spirits even when his health started to decline. Lester was baptized at an early age but recently rededicated his life to Christ. He attended Hutto Bible Church. Lester was known by friends as “Big Hill”.

He was preceded in death by his father Oscar Hill, mother Rosie Hill, wife Ella Hill, brothers Harry and Samuel Hill, sisters Lynette Smith and Charlene Morgan and grandson Jeffrey Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memory five children, Leland Hill and wife Hattie, Melissa Hill, Maida Brooks and husband Chris, Lester Hill Jr. and wife Jeanene, and Oscar Hill; his grandchildren, Leland Jr. and wife Bridget, Brittany, Robyn, Trevin and wife Jessica, Brendon, Jordan, Camren, Desirea, Kierstyn, Krishea, Jacob, Dylan and Adam; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Aryana, Braiden, Tyson and Jaylen; his beloved sister, Grace Ross; his brothers, RZ Anderson and LG Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Hollow Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gilbert Mosee, Marcus Miller, Rudy Hattley, James “Kat” Powell, Prentiss Hill and Charlie Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Ray Sedwick, Scott Williams and Johnny Rose.
