Joan Lajune McGill

In loving memory of Mrs. Joan Lajune McGill who passed away peacefully in her home in Georgetown, Texas on October 5, 2024. She was a devout Christian who loved God and her family with all her heart. She also was very artistic and creative and enjoyed listening to classical piano music and opera, with Luciano Pavarotti being one of her favorites. Joan had a wonderful, caring heart and loved all people and animals with great compassion.

She's preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. McGill, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tarwater.

She is survived by her loving sister, Brenda Winakur; nieces and nephews, Deborah and Brent Kenney, Breanna and Greg Herriott, Gregory Winakur, Hannah Herriott, and Gavin Herriott; as well as other cousins, family members, and loving friends.

She will be greatly missed by all. She's now in the glorious presence of the Lord.

A visitation for Joan will be held Monday, October 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 4:00 PM at IOOF Cemetery, 1117 E 7th Street, Georgetown, TX 78626.
