Jim served in the United States Army and was a graduate of Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was a loving, dedicated and devoted husband and father. He worked in the life insurance industry most of his adult life and later worked for Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home for 21 years. He loved to travel with his wife to his favorite destination, Colorado. When not working or traveling you could find him on the golf course at Berry Creek Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Hawkins; daughter, Amber Fraser (Justin); son, Derek Hawkins (Stacee); daughter, Suzanne Hamilton; daughter, Amy Ross; and granddaughter, MacKenzie. Preceded in death is his former wife, Kayrin Hawkins; and his mother, father, brother and sister.
A graveside service for Jimmy will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery, 6623 I-35, Robinson, TX 76706.
