Jim was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and grew up in Black Forest, Colorado with his parents and brother where he enjoyed exploring the forest, playing football, and riding horses and his motorcycle. As a teenager he moved to Seymour, Texas with his parents and attended Seymour High School. After graduating high school, Jim attended West Texas University in Canyon, Texas where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. After college, Jim had a career in Retail Management.
Jim was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. Anyone fortunate to have known Jim knows he was fiercely loyal to those he loved and was always ready to help anyone in need. Jim loved to travel, but he hated to fly, hence his taking many cruises to different countries. Jim was a jokester with a great sense of humor, a sly wit, and an infectious laugh. One of his favorite shows was Mrs. Brown’s Boys, a favorite for laughing until you cry. Jim was a lover of music and attending concerts, and played a great game of “who’s this artist?” He also loved movies, except for horror movies, his favorite being Marvel films. Jim also had a love of good food – mainly Texmex and Mexi Martinis, and had a passion for craft beer.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Carolyn Chandler. Jim is survived by his brother John Chandler of Georgetown, Texas and his sister Ann Finnell of Cleburne, Texas, and his many nieces and nephews, as well as his wonderful caregiver and friend, Cynthia Kay.
