Paul Adams Messer Jr.

Paul is survived by his wife, Ann Funderburk Messer of Gastonia; children, Mark Messer and wife, Gina of Gastonia, James Messer of Florida, Paul Messer III and wife, Terri of Gastonia, Rev Ernest Cogdell and wife, Jodie of York, SC, Ricky Cogdell of the home, Lisa Cogdell Bradshaw and husband, Richard of Belmont; grandchildren, C.J., Chip, Abigail, Alana, Hunter, Marissa, Samantha, Bradley, Morgan, Kyle, Kayleigh, Ashleigh, Alison, Kelsey, Dewayne, Rick, Brian and Paul Messer IV; great grandchildren, Makayla, Bentley and Madden.

Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Lynn Messer Foster.

A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly, 5766 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, S.C.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm, Saturday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.
