Julia “Gale” (Clemmer) Hamrick went to her heavenly home April 2, 2022. Gale was born in Gaston County, NC. She completed her primary and secondary education in New Jersey and graduated from Cranbury High School in 1974. Gale came back to North Carolina to attend college where she graduated from Gardner Webb College in 1977 with a degree in elementary education. After graduation she accepted a job with Gaston County schools where she worked for 34 years in 1st and 3rd grades. Because of her love for teaching and children, after retiring, Gale returned to the classroom for several years as a tutor and substitute teacher. She made many wonderful memories with her fellow teachers, many of which she formed lifelong friendships with.
Gale is preceded in death by her father Vernon Augustus Clemmer Jr. and husband of 28 years Charles Mark Hamrick.
She leaves behind to cherish precious memories her mother Christine Ratchford Clemmer of Dallas, daughter Cari Hamrick Wilson and significant other Danny Centofanti of Shelby, brother Vernon Augustus Clemmer III and wife Wanda, niece Anna Long and husband Tayler, nephew Justin Clemmer and wife Shaina, great nieces Brennley Long and Caroline Clemmer all of Dallas, along with many other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Dallas Baptist Church, with Celebration of Life service starting at 11:00 a.m. and graveside service to follow at Long Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
