Joyce Ann Drennan Cotter

These are a few relaxing things that were special to Joyce Ann Cotter of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Caromount Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. Joyce had many other loves such as her dog Peanut, playing games on her computer, boating, loved to cook and work puzzles.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Clyde Cotter, her mother Francis Brackett; one brother, Roger Dale Drennan and a very special grandson Jeremy Curtis.

Those left to cherish her memories are her three daughters: Cindy Johnson and husband Lee of Hampstead, North Carolina, Rhonda Ramsey and companion Jerry Curtis of Waynesville, North Carolina, Pamela Medford and companion Jeopardy Stevens of Gastonia, North Carolina; sister: Brenda Radford of Blacksburg, South Carolina; five grandchildren: Nathan Medford, Roy Tscheiller, Yogi Tscheiller, Candace Kerr and Heather Boheler.

The Celebration of Life Ceremony Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Chapel at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054 with Reverends James Drennan and Mitch Carlyle to deliver the words of comfort to the family and friends. Active pallbearers are Nathan Medford, Roy Tscheiller, Yogi Tscheiller, Perry Rice, Jamie Messer and Jim Little. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Johnson, Jeopardy Stevens, Robbie Radford and Jerry Curtis.

Joyce’s family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 prior to the service.

The graveside and committal service to follow at Gaston Memorial Park where Joyce will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
