Gracie Pendley Gibson

Gracie Mae Pendley Gibson, 84, of Lowell, passed away on Thursday, October 04, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Martin Pendley.

Mrs. Gibson retired from Peerless Spinning Company after many years as Office Secretary and was a member of First Baptist Church, Lowell.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by one son, Ronnie Gibson and wife Dana of Lowell; one daughter, Tina Gibson of Lowell; three grandchildren, Angel McGinnis and husband Chris of Gastonia, Lucas Gibson and Jenna Gibson of Lowell; two great grandchildren, Garet McGinnis and Gauge McGinnis of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 400 W. First Street, Lowell and at other times at the home of Ronnie and Dana Gibson, 612 North Main Street, Lowell, North Carolina.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Dr. David A. Irish and Rev.Kenneth Cobb officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 58 years, James Melvin Gibson; son-in-law, Timothy Ballew; grandson, Jonathan Gibson; sister, Kathryn Moore.
