Mrs. McAlister retired from Wix Corporation after 30 years of service. She was a loyal and long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Gastonia.
Fanny was loved by everyone and was the most giving, loving and caring person that you would ever want to meet. She never met a stranger. Fanny was a true caregiver and homemaker. She expressed love through her cooking, feeding others, and baking sweets. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Fanny is preceded in passing by her husband of 60 years, Charles Raymond McAlister; son, Robert Lee McAlister; and her brother Kurt Lenk.
She is survived by her children, Gert Raymond McAlister and wife Lisa, Tina McMillan and husband Terry, and Diana Greco and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Dustin McAlister, Charles McAlister and wife Kelly, Brandie McAlister, Michael McMillan and wife Jennifer, Angela Helton and husband Josh, Eddie Perry, Brittany Johnson and husband Dustin, Johnny Costner and wife April, Tiffany McAlister, and Krystal McCraven and husband Kris; and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the celebration of life service to be conducted at 2:00 pm. Reverend Braxton East will preside. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
