Betty Ann Woods

Betty Ann Jackson Woods was born August 19, 1941, in York County, South Carolina and transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Robin Johnson House. She was the daughter of the late Hyme Jackson, Sr. and Ola Lowery Jackson. Betty was a graduate of Highland High School, Gastonia, North Carolina. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Restoration Church, Gastonia, North Carolina. She loved God, her family and her church family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Hyme Jackson, Sr. and Ola Lowery Jackson; husband,Willie Lee Woods; her sister Denise Jackson Glenn; her brothers Hyme Jackson, Jr. and Joey King Jackson.

Left to cherish fond memories: daughters; Vickie Setzer, Beverly Woods Tribble (Raymond), Myra Renee Woods, Phyllis Whistine (James),Tanya Williams of Gastonia, North Carolina; son, Warren Keith Woods of Gastonia, North Carolina, and son, Jerry Lamar Woods, Sr. of Mount Holly, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Bessie Mae Montgomery, Stella Hope Jackson, Gardenia Sue Jackson of Gastonia, North Carolina; five sisters-in-law, Arlene June, Deborah June, Sarah Mackins (Calvin), Dorothy Woods (Major) of Gastonia, North Carolina, and Paulet Jackson of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers-in-law, L.C. June (Juanita), Samuel June (Patricia) and William June (Kelly) of Gastonia, North Carolina. Special niece, Shelia Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia. Special cousin, Mary Boyd of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Special friends, Mary Barber, Hazel Belton, Frances Gordon, Joann McCoy, Betty Montgomery, Fessie Rudisill, Arthur and Brenda Byrd and countless other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum.
