Barbara was born on February 22, 1936 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Roy Parker and the late Josie Lou Hulsey. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Grant Ensley; brothers, Kytle Parker and Ernest Parker; sisters, Judy Whitlock, Carolyn Crane, and Ruth Holcomb; and step-father, Frank Palmer.
Barbara was a wonderful mother who loved her family very much. Not only was she a mother to her children, but also was like a mom to her extended family as well. She was known as a fantastic cook who could do anything she set her mind to. Barbara was a loving Christian who is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She sang with the Gloryland Gospel Quartet for 40 years and was also a member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Cordell and husband Blair; son, Donnie Ensley and wife Darlene; one grandson, Jason Cordell; one sister, Evelyn Fuller; brothers, David Palmer, Danny Palmer and Rudolph Palmer.
