Aline (Quinn) Owens White

Aline (Quinn) Owens White, 96, of Claremont passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the home of her long time caretaker Ansley. Aline was a retired beautician from Settlemeyer’s Beauty Salon. She was also a former member of the Camelia Garden Club, and President of the Gastonia Lionettes. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gastonia. Aline loved flowers and working in her garden. She also loved to cook and was an exceptional card player. She leaves her love for these hobbies with her family.

Aline is the daughter of Jeannette (Neill) and Grady Quinn. She was preceded in death by husbands Torrence “Benny” Owens and Lester D. White. Her sister Dorothy Morris and husband David; brother Lamar Quinn, and wife Estelle; and Vicki B. Owens, daughter in law.

She is survived by her children Patricia O. Ragland and husband Chester, as well as her son Charles M. Owens. Also surviving Aline is her sister Frances Epperson and husband Sidney. In addition, her grandchildren: Christian Abner, Ansley Welch and husband Steve, Courtney Perry and husband Brandon, Ashley Natale and husband John, and grandson Ben O. Ragland. Her great grandchildren: Logan Smithers, Alan-Michael Abner, Matthew Nelson, Chase Welch, Nate Natale, Parker Natale, Drew Natale, Cooper Perry and Makenzie Perry, also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to remember Aline from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Aline’s name to Catawba Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
