Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Grace Murrell; three brothers, Malcom Maurice Murrell, Grady Donald Murrell, and Henry Rodney Murrell, as well as three sisters, Rilla Murrell Wood, Linda Murrell Vawter, and Judy Murrell Cobbs.
Buddy is survived by his son, Joseph Keith Murrell and his wife Clair and a daughter, Mary Ann Logan and her husband Rex; three grandchildren, Ashlyn Murrell, Alan Reynolds, and Jennifer Robertson; five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Celebration of life Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon, The family will gather at 10:00 am.
