Norman E. Love, age 91 of Gardendale, AL was born on May 8, 1925 and went to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2016. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and served his country proudly during WW II (from 1942 -1946) in the South Pacific. Mr. Love was the owner of Love Piano Company in Gardendale with his son Steve, working until he was 88. A longtime member of Church of Christ, he served as an elder of the North Birmingham and Main Street, Fultondale Congregations. He was recently attending Mt. Olive Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Helen McKinney Love and his mother, Vess Love. He is survived by his wife, Lollie Love; two sons, Norman E. Love, Jr. (Vickie) and Steven M. Love (Linda); four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Chapel funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation beginning at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Moncrief Cemetery in Gardendale, AL.
