Marion Parker

Marion McSpadden Parker, age 79 of Hayden, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11:00 am, with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm in the chapel. Her son-in-law, Brother Kerry Turner will be officiating. Mamye, as most knew her, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was one of eight children and was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hillary Albert McSpadden and Mary Lee McSpadden; brother, Douglas McSpadden; sisters, Anne Salyers and Doris Vaughan. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Ottis Neal Parker; sons, Timothy Parker (Joy), James Parker (Rachel); and; daughter Kristi Turner (Kerry); grandchildren, Haley Turner, Hannah Turner, Hollee Turner, Nathan Parker and Sarah Parker; brother, Howard McSpadden (Kathy); sisters, Norma Chambers (Bye), Katye Hefner (Jim), and Jean Honeycutt (John). She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Pall bearers are nephews, Tommy Gorum and Isaiah Gorum; and grandchildren, Haley Turner, Hannah Turner, Hollee Turner, Nathan Parker and Sarah Parker.
