Linda Kay Brooks Handley, age 76 of Morris, AL was born August 1, 1941 and passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred M. Handley; her son, Mike Handley; her daughter, Misty Handley Kennedy and her husband, Chuck Kennedy; her grandchildren; Tres Kennedy and his wife, Erin, Chase Kennedy and Nathan Handley; her first-future great granddaughter Bennett Kay Kennedy; a brother, Robert Paul “Butch” Brooks, Jr.; sisters-by-choice, Ducky Higgins, Sandra Vaughn, Rhonda McCowan, Carmen Holcomb, and Carol Goss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Paul Brooks, Sr. and Sara Kathleen “Kitty” Bailey Brooks; and her grandparents, Eston and Maude Brooks, and Porter and Pearl Bailey, Sr.; her grandson, Zeke Handley; and another sister-by-choice, Peggy Willis.
Services for Mrs. Handley will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in Glennwood Cemetery in Morris, AL.
