Lee Wilkerson Johnson, born on November 4, 1929, of Fultondale, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on January 6, 2019 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey Lee Johnson and Mary Jessie Chappell Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bobbie Nell Palmer Johnson, sons, Steve (Millie) Johnson and Wayne (Sonia) Johnson, three loving granddaughters Krystal Johnson, Kellie Johnson and Blair Johnson, sister, Nettie Mae O’Neal, and many special friends. Everyone that knew Lee loved him and his vibrant personality. Lee retired from Stockham Valve after 35 years of services. After retiring, he worked 8 years for the City of Fultondale. He enjoyed Alabama football but loved nothing more than watching his 3 granddaughters play on the softball field from t-ball through college. A celebration of life visitation for Lee will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with his service beginning at 11:00 a.m. There will be a graveside service to follow at Walkers Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Randy Jasper will officiate.
