Kevin Len Pounders

We lost one of a kind on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Kevin L Pounders, 48, passed away on January 23, 2022, after a long battle against COVID. Born May 26, 1974, Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Gene Pounders. He leaves behind his loving wife Patricia, son Jordan Pounders (Alisa), daughter Hope Grissom Ledbetter, son Stanley Grissom, (Bailey) grandchildren Gracelyn Kayte Ledbetter and Will Grissom. He also leaves behind his sister Kimberly Pounders King, nephew Alexander King and mother, Barbara Pounders. Kevin loved his family and his friends. He also loved his country and his community. Kevin was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He also served in local law enforcement in multiple capacities for over 20 years. Kevin loved his job in law enforcement. His career highlights included working on an FBI task force and the SWAT team. Kevin and Patricia made Cullman their home two years ago. Kevin loved working out, Copenhagen, Jordan shoes, and his dog Gizmo. However, nothing compared to the love he had for his son Jordan and granddaughter Gracelyn who he called his "Macy Gray". He was also looking forward to meeting his grandson Will and a new grandson that is on the way. Kevin had a larger than life personality, but always treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Kevin will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 PM.
