Joe Shoemaker

Aubrey Watson “Joe” Shoemaker, a resident of Trafford, Alabama was born in Bessemer, Alabama on May 3, 1947 and he passed away on February 9, 2018 at the age of 70. Joe enjoyed fishing and he loved his family dearly and cherished all the time he was able to spend with them, he will be greatly missed.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Shoemaker.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jackie Smith Shoemaker; children, Teresa (Roger) Blevins; Sherry (John) Hoggle; Angela DeClaremont; one brother, Odell (Sarah) Shoemaker; ten grandchildren, Nicole Hoggle, Joshua Hoggle, Natalie Hoggle, Curtis Wallace, Tabitha Shoemaker, Cindy Blevins, Michelle Blevins, Becky Blevins, Sianna DeClaremont, and Caden DeClaremont; five great grandchildren, Roger Lamar, Gabriel “Coco” Johnson, Tyler “Bo” Barnett, Harper Hoggle, and Zachary Hoggle; many other family members and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, February 12, 2018 with a visitation beginning at 2:00pm; funeral service at 3:00pm followed by his burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
