Joann was born in Lynchburg, Tenn. on December 8, 1935 to Emmett and Annie Mullins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward G. Rhoton. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Dixon, Janet Rhoton and Kathy White (Benny); grandchildren, Karen Gray, Michelle Smith and Matthew Dixon; great grandchildren, Tyler Murphy, Hayden Smith, Drew Gray, Jonah and Logan Dixon.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and a good friend to all that knew her. She was a lifelong Baptist
A graveside service for Joann will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Road, Gardendale, AL 35071.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to the Alzheimer Association.
