Joan Carroll

Joan Odom Carroll, age 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Parrish, AL on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was born in the small mining town of Labuka, AL on September 19, 1949 to Earl & Louise Odom. She was married to Ronnie Carroll for 49 years. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, class of 1967, and had a full career working as a bookkeeper before retiring in 2010. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, reading and her beloved pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Doris Roberts and Robbie Storey. She is survived by her husband Ronnie, daughter Angie Moncrief (Scott), son Allan Carroll (Rachel), son Brian Carroll (Krista) and brother Ronnie Odom (Phyllis) as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A service in her remembrance will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale, AL on Friday, February 18th. The family will receive friends and family members starting at 1:00 and the service will begin at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Joan’s memory to the Birmingham Humane Society.
