Elizabeth Ann Eidson, age 84 of Gardendale, Alabama passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was born in Logan, Alabama on June 19, 1939. Ann was a faithful member of East Gardendale Baptist Church. During her illness she made it to every service that she could.
She was a gardener with a beautiful collection of rose bushes of all colors, a variety of flowers and shrubs to adorn her yard, and bird feeders for birdwatching with her favorites being humming birds. Ann loved family gatherings, setting out on adventures with her family, and shopping even if it was just window shopping. She was one of the biggest Alabama Football Fans cheering on her boys and offering play suggestions the whole game. Ann was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and niece.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Edward Eidson and Ruby Reese Eidson; her brothers, Billy Eidson and Bobby Eidson; her sisters, Betty Eidson Harbison and Merelene Eidson Abbott.
Ann is survived by her sisters, Virginia S. Ledbetter and Margaret Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and numerous extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Ann’s Life will begin at 1:00 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel. Entombment will immediately follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Cody Abbott, Larry Cook, Gil Maze, David Evans, Barry Reed, Bailey Gibson, and Peyton Gibson.
