Richard "Dick" Patrick Burke

Richard “Dick” Burke, 83, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022. He was born March 14, 1939 in Columbus to Glesner and Gertrude (Howard) Burke; also preceded in death by his wife Julianne (Radich) Burke and sister Anita (Burke) Foresta.

Dick was a graduate of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic High School and was Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1959. He went on to a career in the insurance industry at State Automobile Insurance Company and retired in August 1994. Following retirement, he worked at the New Albany Country Club. Dick was involved at Church of the Ascension, where he assisted his wife, Juile on the liturgical committee. He loved spending time with his family and especially his two grandchildren. He is survived by his son Tim (Alita) Burke and their children Nicole and Trevor, daughter Kathy Burke, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna on Monday October 24, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25 at 10:30am at Church of the Ascension, 555 S. Main St., Johnstown. Graveside service to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne, Ohio; Fr. Ghiloni presiding. Those who wish may contribute to Zusman Hospice in his memory.
