Lena "Lee" M McQuade

Lee was born and raised in Gahanna and graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1952. She worked many different jobs, and retired as a secretary for the Ohio State University athletic department. She was a member of the Gahanna VFW 4719 for 40+ years and a member of the Amvet 89. Lee never met a stranger. She was a wonderful and thoughtful mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Craig (Lisa) McQuade; daughters, Kelli (Joe) Barozzini, Cindy (Doug) Bates, Tami Cumbo, Gigi (Craig) Chetock; brother, Aaron (Linda) Kitzmiller; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; special friend, Tami Sue (Aaron) Haupt; longtime dear friends, nieces, and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bill McQuade; parents, Raymond and Sibyl Kitzmiller; half siblings, Hap Kitzmiller and Jo Backenhaster; and great grandson, Joseph Smothers.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4PM - 7PM on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast Funeral Home at 1051 East Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. A service will be held at 1pm on Monday January 9, 2023, at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
