Jerry L Dossett (79) of Gahanna, Ohio went to his heavenly home on November 5th, 2022. He was born on March 11, 1943 in Princeton, IN. The son of Morton Dossett Sr and Hildred (Nee White). He was a graduate of Princeton (IN) High School class of 1961. He served in the U.S Navy for four years.
Jerry and his wife owned and operated the Bookworm Book Store in Princeton, IN for nine years. He managed Walden bookstores in Zanesville (OH) and Columbus (OH) before becoming a regional buyer for them. He retired in 2004 from Holtzbrink Publishers of New York, NY where he was a Midwest regional sales rep.
Jerry played baseball and football during his high school years. He attended Al Somers Umpire School and officiated baseball games for high schools, Babe Ruth league as well as the American Legion Leagues state tournaments. He was an Avid golfer, and volunteered for the Columbus (OH) Ronald McDonald House establishing and maintaining their library for ten years.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara (Nee Frakes), Son Ryan (Tracy) and two Grand children Mason and Maylin. He is also survived by brother in law William (Suzanne) Frakes and many Nephews and Nieces.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother (Donald and Morton Jr.) and Sister, Barbara Waldroup.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charity's of Central Ohio or New Life Church of Gahanna, OH, or a charity of your choice in honor of Jerry.
