Garland W. Carter

Devoted husband, father and grandfather Garland always put his family first making sure they were on the right path. He is was eager to lend a hand; helping with yard work and home and automobile repairs. Garland found his passion when it came to automobiles; he was a car enthusiast from collecting to working on them. Garland found more time to enjoy his passion after retiring from Kroger Warehouse.

He will be missed by his loving wife Joyce A. carter, children; Marcus Carter and LaDonna Carter, grandchildren; Joshua Carter, Jacob (Julie) Carter, Josiah (Lauren) Carter, great-grandchildren; Elizabeth Carter and Isabella Carter and brother Gary (Betty) Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lillian Carter.

Visitation will take place on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 10am-12pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Garland’s funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation. Services will conclude with interment at Fancher-Maplegrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
