Darren was a beloved husband to Lisa, father of Jordan and Tucker (the golden retriever) and friend to many. He loved fishing, his motorcycles, and anything he could do outdoors. Darren was an avid fisherman and participated yearly in the Western Ohio Walleye Circuit with his dear friend Willie Gearheart. Darren was a grill master, specializing in ribs and chicken legs and would share this skill with the neighborhood whenever the opportunity presented itself. Darren was a Commercial Plumber at Applied Mechanical Systems for 21 years, and was always willing to assist friends and family with projects when asked. From an early age he loved the Steelers and Phillies, a passion he carried through his life. Darren also loved Ohio State and adopted a love for his daughter’s alma mater Bowling Green State University.
Darren was adored by many and lived a life dedicated to making memories through experiences. Darren was extremely outgoing, and “never knew a stranger.” Darren spent his final days at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Darren is preceded in death by his brother, Junior Coleman; his step-father, John Coleman; and mother-in-law Donna Keglovich. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 28 years, Lisa (Keglovich) Temple; his daughter Jordan (Braden) Croft; his mother Carol Coleman; his brother Brian Ruetsch; his father-in-law Glenn Keglovich, Sr.; and brother-in-law Glenn Keglovich, Jr.
In following Darren’s fun, light-hearted personality, a Celebration of Life will take place the day after his birthday, Friday, November 18, at Coaches Food and Spirits in Gahanna (230 Granville Street, Gahanna, OH 43230), beginning at 6pm.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Darren’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at https://www.stjude.org/
