friend. She left this world on October 10, 2021 at the age of 82. She was
born to Louie and Lila Frachiseur on June 30, 1939. After graduating
from Hokes Bluff High School, Virginia attended cosmetology school
and began a 40 year career as a beautician. She was an active member
of White Springs Baptist Church in Rainbow City where she loved to
sing in the choir. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Walker.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Amanda
Spigner (Frank) and Felicia Arledge (Reggie); step son , Lee Walker
and step-daughter Libby Blackwood (Randy); grandchildren Aaron
Spigner (Heather), Andrew Spigner (Lauren), Ashley Couch (Jeffery),
Clint Arledge (Jenny), and Cole Arledge (Brelan), and Katie
Blackwood; great grandchildren Crew Spigner, Eli Couch, Sayler
Spigner, and Thomas Arledge; and her brothers Glenn Frachiseur (Pat)
and Randy Frachiseur (Cindi) and sister Linda Stansell (Thurman).
She is also survived by her sweet and loving friend, Jerome LaFollette.
Virginia loved to spend time with her family and looked forward to the
annual beach trips and Christmas in the mountains. She enjoyed
playing golf at the Gadsden Country Club with her golf buddies. She
also enjoyed Monday afternoons with the Applebee’s girls.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 2:00
p.m. with visitation prior from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at White Springs
Baptist Church in Rainbow City, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the White Springs Baptist Church building fund or The National Cancer Society.
