Stanley Dean Templeton Jr., 39, of Belleville, IL, born January 28, 1974, in Fort Worth, TX, died suddenly Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL. Mr. Templeton was a quality assurance specialist for Dish Network in Belleville, IL.Stan was preceded in death by his mother, Page, nee Beckert, Templeton; his maternal grandfather, Charles F. Beckert of Gadsden, AL; and his paternal grandmother, Betty “Nanny” Templeton Jones; and an aunt, Ann “Fu” Beckert Heard. Surviving are his daughter, Brianna Nicole Hansen; his fiancée, Sherrie Schrad of Belleville, IL; his fiancee’s children, Justin and Jordyn Schrad; his father and step-mother, Stanley and Linda Templeton Sr. of Caseyville, IL; a brother, Charles Scott Templeton of Belleville, IL; a step-brother, Aaron (Nicole) Beinborn of Dayton, OH; two aunts; Janie (Kevin) Stump of Birmingham, AL, and Ann (Willy) Dielen of Birmingham, AL; an uncle, Neal (Liz) Templeton of Birmingham, AL; a cousin, Donna Wadsworth of Gadsden, AL; and extended family members, Dwight Joellenbeck, Rita Dodson, Kenneth (Tonya) Simmons, Robin (Rodney) Buhr, Crystal (Bubba) Pitcher, Shane (Julie) Joellenbeck; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends. In recognition of Stanley’s love of the St. Louis Cardinals, everyone is asked to wear “Cardinal” red.

Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden, with burial next to his mother. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Foundation, or to Salvation Army.
