Ruby Doris Vaughn

Mrs. Ruby Doris Vaughn, age 90, of Southside, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00pm at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bill Drummons will officiate.

Collier-Butler Funeral Home & Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.

Doris was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She was loved by all that knew her. She loved to cook and try new recipes, cooking was her passion. She tirelessly took care of her daughter Starla throughout her life and will be missed dearly.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband Walter Vaughn; son, Hughie Vaughn; parents Clyde and Eulala Buchanan; brother Clyde Buchanan, Jr; sisters, Hazel burgess and Janet Kilgore.

Doris is survived by he children, Garry (Ruby) Vaughn, Steven Vaughn (Tammy), and Starla Vaughn; grandchildren, Heidi (Butch) Crawford, and Kellie (Mark) Bunch; great grandchildren, Caylee (Dustin) Boyd, Cayden Crawford, and Darien (Trent) Bunch; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to caregivers Sherrie Sims and Beth Beddingfield.

In lieu of lowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 12:30 until 1:30pm at the funeral home.
