Paulette Marie Makary (Snader) passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 76 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 25, 1947 to Richard and Pauline Snader. Paulette was a beloved member of the community known for her avid love of animals, particularly cats, and her dedication to helping the homeless. She generously donated her time to various charitable causes and will always be considered a pillar of the community. Paulette also had a deep passion for literature.
Paulette pursued her education at Copley High School in Fairlawn, Ohio, and later attended Gadsden State. She dedicated over 30 years of her career as a librarian at the main branch of the Gadsden Public Library, where her passion for literature and her commitment to serving the community shone through.
Paulette is survived by her children: Richard Mallardi(Sarah), Rachelle Moon(Shawn), Dawn Jenne(Kevin), and Debi Huffman(Tracy). She was a loving grandmother to Mara Mallardi, Mia Jenne, Seth Jenne, Keith Mallardi, and Ella Huffman. Paulette also had a long-time partner, Rob Holloway.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Richard Snader, and her mother, Pauline Snader.
A service to celebrate Paulette's life will be held on February 3, 2024, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, Alabama. Visiting hours for friends and associates will take place from 3pm to 5pm with the service to follow.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, Alabama.
