Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Oren C. “Jack” Sansom, 95, who went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Reverends Joey Jones and Lauil Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Sansom is survived by his wife and soulmate of 75 years, Florence Whorton Sansom; daughters, Jacquelyn (Tommy) Stephens, Sandra (Jim) Wanner, and Karon (Wayne) Fortenberry; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Inell Fortner; and his beloved dog, Miss Trixie.
Mr. Sansom was a member of Whorton Bend Baptist Church, a lifelong resident and cotton farmer in the Whorton Bend community.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service.
