Mattie Geraldine Phillips

Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Southside. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Southside United Methodist Church and the Senior Saints. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family. She found enjoyment in baking, which she shared with her family and friends on their birthday before her health failed. She enjoyed gardening and had a special love for her dog.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, W.T. “Bud” Phillips; sons, Terry and Donnie Joe Phillips; sons-in-law, Larry McClendon and Jimmie Williams; great grandson, Cade Perkins; parents, Tom and Jimmie Lou Bolton; sister, Trixie Pentecost and brother, Henry Edward Bolton.

Survivors include her children; Ronnie (Judy) Phillips; Bruce (Patsy) Phillips; Scarlett McClendon; Steve and Brent Phillips; Cindy Williams; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephew, Dennis Pentecost and Mickey Durham.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Snellgrove Civitian School.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
