Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m.on Monday, October 4, 2010, at Crestwood Cemetery for Mrs. Margaret Huff, 92, Ballplay, who died peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 2, 2010. Rev. Roy Daugherty will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing.
Preceding Mrs. Huff in death were her parents, Junious P. and Sina E. Nabors; her husbands, William Oren Taylor and Grady Huff; sisters, Era Keel, Eunice Brunson and Mabel Buffington; and her granddaughter, Ton Daugherty Snell.
Mrs. Huff is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay T. and Jerry F. Jones; grandsons, Cliff (Donna) Daugherty and Ron (Julie) Daugherty; great granddaughter, Lacey Daugherty; great grandsons, Grey and Reece Daugherty; and her step grandchildren, Heidi and Chase Cato. Also many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved kitty “Mo.”
Mrs. Huff graduated from Gadsden High School in 1936. She trained to be a dental hygienist under the direction of Dr. Lewellyn. She worked as a hygienist for Dr.’s H.T. and W.B. Wells and Dr. W.W. Acee. She loved her career and continued to work in Gadsden for 50 years reluctantly retiring at the age of 80.
Mrs. Huff was well known as Ums, the name her grandchildren gave her. She loved to sew doll clothes for her daughters collection and cook delicious dishes and desserts for family and friends.
Per Mrs. Huff’s request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Humane Society of Gadsden. She was a great animal lover.

We have many fond memories and will miss her greatly but were know she is well, happy and now in the arms of God.
